Day One: Arrive in Costa Rica
Welcome to Costa Rica. Today you will be met outside the airport we are going to drive you out of the Capital City looking for the home of Turrialba Smokey Volcano, On the way
to Turrialba we are going to Visit La Basilica de Los Angeles in Cartago. Our destination will be the Sitio de Mata Village where the homestays families are going to be waiting for
us.
Day one details:
Day two-Four: become a local
During these days we’ll participate in community events and then head to the Pacuare River, tackling Class II, III, and IV rapids. (Beginner appropriate, yet exciting.) While we’re rafting we’ll stay at the private Pacuare Eco-Lodge which overlooks the river.
Day 2-4 activities:
Day Five-six: Volcanoes and Organic farms
We will travel to La Fortuna with views of the Arenal Volcano. This is the only volcano in Costa Rica with a perfect cone shape. After, we’ll visit an organic farm and learn about the importance of our food supply and what needs to be done to meet the population growth of our planet. Then we are going to drive back to the hotel for a relaxed time around the pool and enjoy a delicious dinner!
Day 5-6 details:
Day seven: head home
Today we will make the drive to the San Jose Airport where we will send your kids home with a better understanding of what Costa Rica and “Pura Vida” is all about!
